I thought this sounded like a good idea for convenient access to do work when I need magnifying glasses for art and craft projects. The directions say that depending on the way your nose is shaped you will have to wear it one way or the other. I tried it on all places of my nose and what wasn’t explained is it closes your nostrils up and makes it harder to breathe. It is also a constant tight pinching feeling on the nose which hurts me. I guess if you’re doing a thirty second or less job like threading one sewing needle you could deal with the pain, but if you’re doing some other type of work that you have to wear these for a few minutes or longer, it would just hurt me too much. After using these, I decided I don’t understand why anyone would want these; you would be better off buying a pair of cheater glasses at the drugstore or at the dollar store. The only thing these have that is better is they are small sized and lay flat unlike regular plastic eyeglasses that are bulkier and may break if squished accidentially.
These glasses are better than any reading glasses. Easy to carry, they fit anywhere, even on a cell phone cover. I ordered them for sawing, but I find them useful for everything else. They include a small bag to carry them, and it helps to keep them from scratching. I have a small nose, and they do not fit on the bridge of the nose, but they work lower on the nose. They have hard plastic clips, but they do not hurt. Excellent design; they will not fall off. I use them mainly for jewelry making.

My eyesight has deteriorated to the point where I need help read small print. I don't yet need reading glasses. These pince nez are so useful to help with seeing things up close. I place them on the end of my nose. I look over them when I don't need them. The diopter is +2.50.
don't know about durability because it's plastic, and it sits on the nose so there may be a lot of wear on the nose gripper. It fits perfectly and comfortably.
