The Hippo Marine Tarp Weight Water Bag is designed for boat owners who need a reliable, reusable and freeze-safe method of holding winter tarps in place. Traditional sandbags and plastic jugs often crack, leak or degrade in sunlight. This purpose-built water weight bag solves all these problems.

Fill the bag with 4,5 liters of water for a stable 10-lb weight. The 4,5-liter volume leaves expansion space when water freezes, ensuring the bag doesn’t burst in winter temperatures. Freezing water expands ~10%.
Constructed from BPA-free, food-grade and UV-resistant material, it offers long-term durability during harsh Scandinavian winters.

The bag hangs perfectly from bungee cords (6620), distributing weight evenly along the tarp edge to prevent flapping, wind damage and chafing. When the season ends, simply empty and fold the bags into the included mesh storage pouch—far more compact than traditional weight solutions.
